Pink lips, curly hair!

My make up for this picture was a strong pink lipstick and a bold eye.

The products I used were no7 primer

Then I used benefit highbeam mixed in with my clinque super moisture foundation shade 6 and 4 mixed.

I then used maybelline dream matte blush and a benefit blusher on top.

I applied Christian Diors lipstick.

Loreal rouge caresse lipstick review - why to buy!

I went shopping today and got loads of different make up, scrubs, jewellery and clothes. So im going too do a review on all the beauty bits but I wanted to write the review about loreals lipstick first because I just love it!
Here it is!

Cost and Packaging
It is priced at £ 7.99 which is on the low side, which is a bonus. It's in a good quality packaging almost exactly the same as Christian diors moisture lipstick I purchased recently.

Shades
They have a great colour collection as well shades from pale pink to light golden browns. I got the lightest shade 01 and this is the part I love most about this product is it isn't sheer so what colour on the bottle is what colour goes on your lips.

When it's on
It feels silky soft and doesn't show up any marks, dry patches or lines on your lips. I find it so hard to find lipsticks that do that without a lipgloss!

Wearing time
The lasting time to this lipstick is about 2 hours before it needs reapplying, I also think that's reasonable. When it's on it feels really moisturizings.

I will purchase this time and time again!

At home glycolic acid peel - update

If any of you read my blog regular you will know I did a glycolic acid peel at home last week. I'm going to do another 1 again this week and do it for six weeks then not again for six months.

Update

Well my skin is looking so much better and my make up application is so much easier, my make up last all day and even hours later in the hot sun it still looks like it's freshly applied. I think it's to do with the peel because it never use to last that long and I haven't used different products! So im really pleased with it. Will now do my second peel and shall update you all next week!

How to use a foundation brush

Getting the hang of using a foundation brush can be tricky but after you've got it right it leaves your foundation perfectly done. I use dirty works foundation brush its pretty cheap but good quality, getting a good quality brush is a must, mac or Bobbi brown have great brushes.

When you've applied your foundation to the back of your hand,  just dip the brush in to it to get half way of the bristles covered and starting using downward strokes on the cheeks, the nose then the chin, then dab your full face with the flat part and then dab your forehead with what evers left on the brush.

Why to buy - benefit high beam and posie/cheek lip tint review

Benefit high beam highlighter & posie lip and cheek tint review

I've been using Benefit's High Beam Highlighter and Posie Lip tint for a while now and I love them so I'm
going to do a review, here they are pictured below.

Benefit High Beam Highlighter

I use this every time I apply my foundation, it isn't a glittery highlighter it's just like a glow one, I prefer the glow ones as they don't look over the top and have more of a natural finish. I mix this with my foundation (clinique supermoisture, I've wrote a review!) and after I've done my foundation I'll add a dot to the top of my lip, nose, forehead and the arches on my eyebrow's. I think it makes my foundation last longer and it also make's my face brighter, I really like this highlighter, it's easy to blend in and doesn't leave dry patches. I think you should give it a go!

Benefit posie lip and cheek tint

I  got a small 'tester/travel' of this in one of  Benefits Make up boxes, It included posie tint, a blusher, lip gloss, blusher brush, high beam, mirror and a booklet of make up tips for around about £25.00 pounds, I thought that was really good value for money and all the products last for ages. So the posie tint can be used for the lips and cheek, it's great for both, but I just use it more on the lips, its basically a lip stain. It lasts for hours, it doesn't show up any dry patches, its almost like a primer/base as well because it goes really well with other lipsticks, it fills in them small lines, its just great and it doesn't dry your lips out. I highly recommend it, it's 1 of my favourite products!

Chemical Peel- glycolic acid peel at home review

At home Gylcolic Acid Peel review

What is a glycolic Acid Peel and what is it for?

Glycolic Acid is derived from sugar cane and is used to remove dead skin from your face and or body to make your skin smooth and bright. It is commonly used to treat acne scarring, skin aging or sun damaged skin.

Where I bought mine from

So I recently bought a chemical peel of ebay, I know it sounds crazy, your probably thinking I'm stupid, but after doing research and watching endless youtube videos I decided to give it a go! So I went on ebay and bought a set for around about £14 pounds. I got the 30% glycolic acid, quite a mild one, It just got delivered so I did a quick test to see if it was ok and make sure it didn't burn of my skin, and  no it didn't thank god.

How I used my Gylcolic Acid Peel

So I washed my face and applied it to half of my face, with a brush that came with it. I left it on for around about 40 seconds. your meant to do about 1/2 minutes but I'm a wimp. It stung but on a chain of pain to 1-10 (10 being more painful) it was probably a 1 and a half.

                                                  Did It even work?

Yes it does, I see a difference straight away, I feel a difference as well,  my skin already looks better, my skins softer and tighter. I cant wait to continue to do my chemical peels, Im overly excited!

Heres the brand I bought of ebay!

Would I recommend it?

Yeah I would, but be careful because it is acid, always do research and always do a very small skin test.

My tips and tricks to a spot free face

How to get smooth spot free skin

I have normal skin, dry sometimes through winter but in summer it just goes back too it's 'normal' self. My skin is fairly good I barely get break outs or really oily skin, I dunno if it's to do with my cleansing routine or not, but I'll share what I do and what I don't.

no make up - clear skin (Leanne Kelly)

Firstly I'll wash my face before I apply my make up, with any face wash, any brand, I don't use a particular one.

I moisturise my face with NO7 moisturising cream/coco butter all over body cream, I'll use coco butter if I've got dry patches, I love it! Then I'll just let it dry or fan it with paper.

I'll do my make up, so fast forward to the night time, I'll take my make up off with make up remover wipes, wash my face in the bath with any face wash and that's all for that night.

I never over moisturise my face, if I do I break out, I do use NO7 mask peel now and then, probably once a month. I do also make a home remedy milk powder face mask and do that every 2 weeks, I've done a how to make it, so make sure you have a quick read, but thats all I actually do!

My tips

We all panic when we see a spot but as soon as you see it put toothpaste on it, it heels sooner and speeds up the whole process!

If you have oily skin but also dry patches just moisturise the dry parts not the full face.

Don't exfoliate, instead use the milk face mask, it leaves your skin tons softer and is also better for you!

Home remedy- pure coconut oil - skin, hair, lips

Pure coconut oil -  home remedy

I love pure coconut oil, it has so many uses, its cheap and it's great for you!

I use it in food and my tea as its flavourless, in the bath, as a moisturiser, as a lip balm, hair mask, nail cuticle moisturiser, the possibilities are really endless!
I purchased this brand, this one was only about £3.00!
It makes your skin, lips and hair soft and it isn't full of chemicals! it's also really easy to get hold of and it last's forever, okay I'm exaggerating, maybe not forever but a really long time! The coconut oil just melts in your hand so its really easy to apply.

My tips

If you've got a lipstick thats matte or doesn't go on easy just add a little bit of coconut oil to a small container and mix it together, it will go on great and won't show up them dry patches, it will also moisturise at the same time, win win!

You can add your blusher powder to a bit of the coconut oil and make a liquid blusher out of it!

give it a try, you'll love it!

HeadKandy Human Hair clip in extension review

HeadKandy Clip In Human Hair Extension Review

I bought a pair of clip in human hair extensions from HeadKandy about a year and a bit ago for around about the £95 mark. They get delivered to your door. They come in this box or so they did a while ago.

What are HeadKandy human hair extensions?

They're basically human hair extensions that you clip into your own hair, you can wash, cut and style your hair extensions like your own hair. You can get a full head, half or single strip pieces. The sizes are 12-14, 16-18, 20-22, 24-26 inches, If you want to get thicker hair but the same length I would just get your length but half a head, if you want longer hair, get a full head and what ever length you want. If you want different shades get single pieces of the same length of your hair.

What I got and my review

I got the human hair full head in 20-22 inches in Soho black. Here they are clipped in and curled in my hair.

HeadKandy Hair Extensions curled 20-22 inches

The good

The human hair extensions are really thick and are numbered so you can clip them in properly to make them look natural. I got the full head and I had more than enough, infact I had too much hair, I didn't even have enough room on my head to clip them all in!! They curl, straighten or style fine, and they wash good. They have lasted  me over a year now and there still thick, but I am in need of a new pair. If you pick the wrong shade/length it doesn't matter as you can send them back as they have 1 piece clip in they send with your order for you to try and  if you don't like them you just don't open the main packaging and send them back! They also do a thing where you send a picture of you/your hair and they will pick a colour for you!

The bad

They smell bad, they have a weird kind of smell to them, especially after you have used heat on them, You could use a hair scent spray on them I suppose. When your curling them they let of a burning scent but I did buy mine a while ago so they may not smell like that anymore.

Should you buy them

If you haven't already found a extension company you love and want to try a reliable company that supplies good quality thick human hair extensions I would suggest you buy them from here!

Heres where you need to go to grab a pair!

Thank you for reading

My favourite foundation - clinique supermoisture foundation review

My favourite foundation- Clinique supermoisture foundation

I've been using this foundation now for about 1 and a half years and I wouldn't and haven't used anything else and here is why I love it.

This foundation  goes on any skin, dry, normal or oily, so it's the foundation I use throughout the whole year! Summer for when my skins oily, winter for when my skins dry. It doesn't show up your dry patches at all.

This foundation doesn't break you out or dry your skin out, so its a win win ;).

Its build able and gives really good coverage but if you want more of a tinted moisturiser kinda look you can just do one layer, I like full coverage so I'll use about 2 pea size squirts for my whole face. It blends really easy and takes about 3/4 minutes to set, so in that time you can get your blusher and highlighters all done.

It lasts about 5 hours before I start to touch it up to get that dewy look back, I know 5 hours doesn't sound that long but I think it's reasonable.

And lastly that bottle holds more in it than you think, mine usually lasts me about 3/4 months and I use alot! It cost's around £21.50 but it's definitely worth it.

Benefit- that gal face primer review

Benefit - that gal primer review

I recently bought this product and I LOVE IT! when you put it on your face you don't really see a difference but when you apply your foundation you can see it has evened out your skin, it also makes applying the foundation easier and  it gives you a glow, its also gives you that dewy look, which I adore! Hair review - John Frieda sheer blonde go blonder spray

Review of  John Frieda go blonder spray - Does it really work?

It most certainly does, thats how I got all the different shades of blonde in my hair below, I admit I did go through about 2 bottles of it and a few hair dyes but it did give me all the different shades that I wanted that I couldn't get with hair dye! My hair is quite naturally dark though and when I tried lightning it it was black!

If you have light brown or blonde hair and want to go lighter gradually this product is the one you want. It  will also give you highlights, you just spray it on and hair straighten over it, you can also just spray it on and go outside but you get a better effect by hair straightening it. An added bonus is that it doesn't smell horrible.

john frieda go blonder spray after use

You can pick this product up almost anywhere and the best thing is it isn't expensive. It lasts quite long and you can just keep up with doing it everyday, it takes practically no time to do it and you see instant results.
You can also use it all over your full head.

My tips

The piece of hair you want lightening just keep spraying it on after you have straightened it. re - do the whole procedure again until you get to the shade you want. I did about 3 sprays on each piece and then re did the  whole thing next day.

Home remedy - 2 ingredient face mask!!

Home remedy - 2 ingredient face mask

What is it?

Its an amazing powdered milk face mask that you can make at home. It costs next to nothing and doesn't take much time to prepare or apply! It really does makes your skin smooth and soft, you honestly only need the two ingredients that are pictured below!

So.. what's the recipe?

All you need is about 3 TBSP's of water in a small bowl and 1 1/2 TBSP of any dry milk powder.

When you have mixed them together and removed as many lumps as you can you should then be able to hold the spoon up without the liquid dripping, it should just stay put.  If it doesn't add more powder, if it's too thick add more water.

How do I Apply?

When the consistency is right or as close to what I described above start applying it with your fingers, brush or a sponge, I just my fingers or a brush. Try to avoid the eye area (ill explain why in a minute), also apply it quite thickly. You can even apply it to you lips.

It's applied..What now?

When the 'mask' is drying you will feel the skin tightening, well at least you know its doing something..yes this means its working . YAY. This part feels quite weird and of course the 'mask' does smell a little weird too, but hold out the results are worth it.

How long should I leave it on?

After it's dried you can take it of when ever you want. 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 hour, it's totally up to you. I usually do 20 minutes.

How to get it off?

This 'mask' is more off a peel off mask and is slightly difficult to remove, especially if its around the eye area and the eye area is really sensitive so please avoid that area.

Firstly try to peel as much off as you can with your fingers. When you can't peel any more off wash your face with warm water and a flannel or towel, by doing this you will remove the dead layer of skin on your face, revealing that new bright refreshed skin!

It's done!

After it's all over and done, apply a good moisturiser and your ready to go or start on your make-up!

My tips

I usually do this once or twice a week but you can do it as much as you like:)!

Sometimes I'll add oats, honey, sugar and all other kinda stuff to it depending on what my skins like that week or what's in the cupboards.

Aloe Vera is also great in this and is also really good for your skin.

How to get bouncy curls that last all day!

Bouncy curls

I am going to do a short hair tutorial to show you how to get long lasting bouncy curls that I did a few weeks ago on myself! (sorry about my bad quality webcam)

Long lasting curls

you will need:
curling Iron
Bobby pins
hair protectant&spray
and finally your hair!

Heat up your curlers, whilst your waiting spray your hair with heat protecter and brush/comb through.

Start curling an inch thick piece of hair but don't curl to the roots, just half way up the hair. After each curl spray it with hair spray/mousse and use a bobby pin too pin the curl flat on your head ( don't change the shape of the curl just push it all together)

Do your full head apart from your fringe area

Now you should have all your hair curled and holded in place by your bobby pins start to spray hair spray and shine spray, if you have it.

leave it for as-long as possible, over night if you can.

When your ready to remove the bobby pins, remove them, brush the curls out lightly and use a comb to back comb the roots of your hair and put more hair over 1 side of your head, now your ready to go!

Banana Ben Nye powder review

Banana Ben Nye powder review

So my first post is going to be about a product I purchased recently, Banana Ben Nye powder, yes the one that Kim K swears by!

This is a powder that can be used for the forehead, nose, cheeks or full face. You can contour your face with it, apparently by doing that you will magically look amazing, or so they say.

Kim K with Banana Ben Nye Powder on her face

My Review

Firstly I will admit that I don't actually like powders and never use them so purchasing this product was unusual for me. I am quite light skinned so I was hesitant about using this as other reviews say ''without a tan you could look quite yellow'', well it is called banana powder isn't it?. I have used it and I haven't got the faintest clue what the whole excitement is about... This powder is meant to be amazing for contouring but I found it to stick to the skin or foundation quite quickly, so it was impossible to blend, therefore, I tried to do more off a buffing motion with a blusher brush, I also found that it didn't seem to give me that whole brightening effect that people are raving about, it gave me more of a yellow colour, ironic ehh?! It also showed up the slightest dry patches, so if you have dry to normal skin I definitely would avoid it! Im not sure if it's just me or do other people have this problem too? Please leave a comment and tell me about your experience with this little so called magic powder!

Recommendations

If you haven't already purchased it would I give you the thumbs up? No, I think there is certainly another product out there that will be so much better!
