Home remedy - 2 ingredient face mask
What is it?
Its an amazing powdered milk face mask that you can make at home. It costs next to nothing and doesn't take much time to prepare or apply! It really does makes your skin smooth and soft, you honestly only need the two ingredients that are pictured below!
So.. what's the recipe?
All you need is about 3 TBSP's of water in a small bowl and 1 1/2 TBSP of any dry milk powder.
When you have mixed them together and removed as many lumps as you can you should then be able to hold the spoon up without the liquid dripping, it should just stay put. If it doesn't add more powder, if it's too thick add more water.
How do I Apply?
When the consistency is right or as close to what I described above start applying it with your fingers, brush or a sponge, I just my fingers or a brush. Try to avoid the eye area (ill explain why in a minute), also apply it quite thickly. You can even apply it to you lips.
It's applied..What now?
When the 'mask' is drying you will feel the skin tightening, well at least you know its doing something..yes this means its working . YAY. This part feels quite weird and of course the 'mask' does smell a little weird too, but hold out the results are worth it.
How long should I leave it on?
After it's dried you can take it of when ever you want. 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 hour, it's totally up to you. I usually do 20 minutes.
How to get it off?
This 'mask' is more off a peel off mask and is slightly difficult to remove, especially if its around the eye area and the eye area is really sensitive so please avoid that area.
Firstly try to peel as much off as you can with your fingers. When you can't peel any more off wash your face with warm water and a flannel or towel, by doing this you will remove the dead layer of skin on your face, revealing that new bright refreshed skin!
It's done!
After it's all over and done, apply a good moisturiser and your ready to go or start on your make-up!
My tips
I usually do this once or twice a week but you can do it as much as you like:)!
Sometimes I'll add oats, honey, sugar and all other kinda stuff to it depending on what my skins like that week or what's in the cupboards.
Aloe Vera is also great in this and is also really good for your skin.
